Jesus said, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” John 15:13. The freedom we enjoy in this country to worship God without fearing imprisonment and even death, is thanks to the selfless service of the men and women in our armed forces. HUD estimates that 62,619 veterans are homeless on any given night. Over the course of a year, approximately twice as many veterans experience homelessness. Nearly 13% of the homeless adult population are veterans. 22 veterans commit suicide every day. The Christian Hope Project believes we can make a difference in the lives of our veterans by reaching out to them and letting them know that there is Hope in Christ. Our Veterans’ program is designed to operate under a model of discipleship. We will assist our nation’s heroes that are returning home from deployment with making a smooth transition back into family, work and community by providing Life Coaching and direction based on Biblical principles, long term.
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
“Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God.” Matthew 5:9
