God is holy, He is light and in Him is no darkness at all. He is a righteous judge who must punish sin. God’s word tells us that all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. The punishment for sin is death; the soul that sins shall die. However, God is a god of love and He doesn’t want anyone to perish; but that all should come to repentance. To repent is turn from your sin and turn to God. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son as a payment for our sin. He did not send Him to condemn the world, but to save it. Jesus took the punishment that we deserved with His death on the cross. In this selfless act of love, Jesus has made a way for us all to spend eternity with God. There is hope for our eternal salvation only through Jesus. Jesus said that He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no man comes to the Father except through Him. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him on the third day, you will be saved. It is our faith in Jesus Christ that saves us, not anything that we can do. Jesus calls you just the way you are, to surrender to Him as Lord and Savior. When you are saved old things pass away, and behold, all things become new. You will be filled with the hope and joy that only exists with Jesus. Jesus commands us to spread this hope to all nations, honoring God and loving our neighbors as ourselves. Ask and you shall receive, may the grace of God be with you.
